Facebook Update for iPhone

Just downloaded the update for Facebook on the iPhone.

The application is essentially a mimic of the iPhone’s main screen with a dashboard of essential Facebook features and a second page where you have the option to bookmark pages and friends.

The full feature list includes:

  • Landscape mode
  • See upcoming events (including birthdays).
  • Page (view and update)
  • Complete photo management, photo zoom
  • Like and dislike
  • Built-in web browser
  • Quick call friends (if they have their phone numbers stored)
  • Sort friends by last or first name
  • Notes
  • Search

This list is not exhaustive but so far, a very impressive jump from what Facebook previously offered on the iPhone.

Will RIM’s Blackberry be receiving a similarly slick app. I wonder?

How can I edit what applications/features are displayed on my screen. I don’t have the requests tab, and I hate notes and groups.

the requests are there by default, scroll and look for it. It works like your home screen, click and hold an icon to remove it or move it. Press the + button on the top right corner to add favourites and pages. ;]
